After years of trying things, only a short list survived:
- Editor: the one I stopped fighting and started using
- Terminal: tmux + a sensible config
- Version control: git with aliases I actually remember
- Notes: plain markdown files, synced, searchable
- This blog: static site, zero maintenance
The pattern: every survivor is boring, fast, and does one thing well. The good tools are the ones you never think about.
